John Charles teams up with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher for charity
Artist John Charles has teamed up with football pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher to raise money for Carragher’s 23 Foundation and the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
John has created an original painting of Jamie during his prime at Liverpool, adorning his famous ‘23’ shirt, as well as a collection of 50 limited edition prints. The original and print ‘23’, which has been signed by Jamie, will be auctioned off at an upcoming 23 Foundation event, which supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children, as well as community organisations and not-for profit organisations that provide services for young people.
In addition, John has donated two signed prints to the Owen McVeigh Foundation, as well as £25 from each sale of the publicly released prints going to the charity to help provide unforgettable, unique experiences and treasured memories for the children and the families who are suffering from cancer in Merseyside.
When discussing the project, Artist John Charles, commented: “To be able to work with Jamie to support his 23 Foundation and Owen McVeigh Foundation, which I am a proud ambassador of, has been amazing and is not something I will forget. I appreciate Jamie being open to working with me and signing the pieces so we can raise vital funds for both charities.”
The limited-edition Jamie Carragher prints by John Charles will be available 23 June 2022.
Each print costs £95 including free shipping, with £25 of each sale being donated to the to the Owen McVeigh Foundation. To make purchasing more flexible, John has partnered with Klarna to offer payment options to fit everyone.
